The Coaching and Games Developent Committee (CG&D) oversee all coaching and games functions of the club. This includes player and coach pathways from nursery to adult level,coach education, club camps, facility scheduling, and team structures.
CG&D promotes best practices by engaging experts, supporting schools, and encouraging adult player involvement all while fostering a unified club model.
Coaching & Games Development
•Develop and implement the coaching and games development plan.
•Oversee all coach education programmes within the club.
•Deliver & review the nursery programme.
•Implement a player pathway to develop juveniles to adult football.
•Implement a coach education pathway (cep).
•Ensure all coaches receive appropriate education and training.
•Encourage coaches to further educate and develop their skills.
•Implement a team pathway that ensures football is available to all players.
•Promote best practice in coaching and games development across the club.
•Engage with external experts to introduce best practice concepts and techniques.
•Work closely with the Juvenile and Adult Games sections of the club to help put in place the best possible coaching and games development structures.
•Scheduling of playing and training facilities.
•Management of all club camps.
•Involvement in appointment of underage and senior team coaches.
•Re-act to the coaching needs of the various games’ groups through the Juvenile and Adult reps by sourcing and providing resources as required.
•Encourage Adult players in the club to help with coaching teams in the Juvenile section.
•Foster strong links with local schools.
•Undertake an annual review of coaching standards within the club – take feedback from players, coaches & parents on separate years.
•Produce an annual budget proposal and submit to Executive for approval.
•Review team and division proposals for all teams.
•Review player numbers at each age group annually to clarify team age structure and identify player number issues.
•Advocate for and promote the one club model.
