Healthy Clubs
Man O War GFC are active members of the Healthy Clubs Initiative. The Healthy Clubs initiative in the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) is a flagship program aimed at promoting health and well-being within communities. Encouraging clubs to support the holistic health of their members and the wider community by focusing on areas like physical activity, mental fitness, diversity and inclusion, substance use awareness, and healthy eating.
The program helps clubs identify their strengths, areas for improvement, and ways to enhance the health benefits for everyone involved—players, coaches, supporters, and community members alike. It also integrates health promotion into the day-to-day activities of the clubs, making them hubs for well-being in their local areas.
